Cathay Pacific Airways CEO Philip Chen will step down effective July 1 to lead Swire Pacific's China investment strategy as chairman of John Swire & Sons (China), Swire and CX announced yesterday. Chen will be replaced as CEO by COO Tony Tyler, who has been with the airline since 1978. Chen will remain on the board as nonexecutive deputy chairman.
