Alitalia yesterday named former Finmeccanica executive Maurizio Prato chairman a day after Berardino Libonati resigned on the eve of a critical board meeting. AZ said it would "defer approval of the guidelines of the company industrial plan until a meeting scheduled for Aug. 30, which would give Prato "time to obtain the necessary information."
