Air Transat, pilots reach tentative accord

Air Transat announced it has reached a tentative labor contract agreement with its pilots represented by the Air Line Pilots Assn. (ATW Daily News, Aug. 30). In a statement Friday, the Canadian carrier said the agreement covers four years and would expire May 1, 2014. The agreement will be voted on for ratification in the coming weeks, the airline said. "Air Transat has always maintained excellent labor relations with its employees and union representatives, and we are satisfied with the present agreement," stated Air Transat President and CEO Allen Graham.
