Transport Canada has cleared the use of portable electronic devices (PEDs) by airline passengers “during all phases of flight.” The decision by the Canadian government follows a similar relaxation of the rules governing the use of PEDs on commercial flights made last year by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and FAA.
