US bankruptcy judge Sean Lane has approved American Airlines parent AMR Corp.’s plan to emerge from Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. However, the approval is contingent upon the resolution of the US Department of Justice’s (DOJ) lawsuit seeking to block the American-US Airways merger.
