Air China, GA Telesis launch JV

Air China and GA Telesis have launched a joint venture, Beijing Ji-An. The 50/50 JV will be the first China-based integrated aircraft trader/lessor of used aircraft and will also introduce a full-scale aircraft disassembly and redistribution business covering the entire Asian market.

According to GA Telesis, Beijing Ji-An signed a memorandum of understanding with Apollo Aviation Management Limited for the consignment of two next-generation Boeing 737-700s, to be delivered this year. Beijing Ji-An plans to disassemble the aircraft at AMECO Beijing. The parts derived from the disassemblies will be warehoused in Beijing and targeted for use in the Asian market.
