UK long-haul specialist Virgin Atlantic will buy 12 Airbus A350-1000s, the European OEM announced at the Farnborough Airshow. The order is worth more than $4.4 billion at list prices. The London Gatwick-based airline will buy eight of the aircraft from Airbus and lease four from Air Lease Corp.
