Mitsubishi Aircraft Corp. has mounted the Pratt & Whitney PW1200G geared turbofan (GTF) engine onto the first MRJ flight test aircraft in preparation for first flight in early 2015. The work was performed at Mitsubishi Heavy Industries’ (MHI) final-assembly factory. According to a company statement, this engine mount marks a significant milestone toward MRJ’s completion.
