Boeing announced plans Sept. 12 to build a 702-family digital payload-bearing satellite for Cayman Islands-based satellite provider Global IP.  The satellite, to be called GiSAT, will deliver streaming media, digital broadcast and other communications services to Sub-Saharan Africa, Boeing said, covering 35 countries and 750 million people.
