First-class seating on Trans World Airlines’ new widebody Lockheed L-1011 jetliner offers traditional twin window seats and new center-line swivel seats. The swivel seats may be turned to form a foursome for conversation and cards.

Lockheed built 250 L-1011s between 1968 and 1984.  The launch customers were Eastern Airlines and TWA, but as it turned out the biggest operators were to be Delta Air Lines and Cathy Pacific outside the US.  CX bought some of Eastern’s fleet when it went bankrupt in 1991.  The L-1011s had a seating capacity of 353 in a three-class configuration.
