ATW’s 6th Annual Eco-Aviation Conference and Awards
Westin City Center, Washington D.C.
Realizing Sustainability and Efficiency
ATW’s 6th Annual Eco-Aviation Conference & Awards will focus on overall sustainability, affordability and overcoming political hurdles within the air transport industry, particularly those social, economic and environmental developments that will improve and have a lasting effect on the industry’s future environmental performance.
ATW’s Annual Eco-Aviation Conference continues to address issues of concern related to commercial aviation’s impact on the environment. The format is structured to encourage debate and an interactive forum between the panel and the audience.
- Turning Blue Skies to Green: Airline eco-endeavors
Airlines and airports are ramping up their eco-programs, making them central to their business plan. How does government regulation help or hinder these efforts? What is the likelihood of a global emissions trading standard being achieved? How can airlines and airports work together to help each other become more efficient?
- The Quest for Sustainable Biofuels
Oil prices are expected to remain at or near to all-time highs, making the search for sustainable, affordable alternative fuels more critical. Which alternative solutions demonstrate most potential for commercial aircraft operations? How does the airline industry’s biofuels’ endeavors compare with those of the automobile and other industries?
- Green Industry Partnerships: Why Collaborative is Better
Industry, airlines, alternative fuel source providers and associations are increasingly working together and forming teams that combine expertise and resources to meet the growing demands for greater eco-aviation operations. What are the main goals and key ingredients to a successful eco-partnership?
- Technology’s Path to Efficient Operations
Examining cutting-edge technologies that are in research & development, or which are beginning to enter service on the tarmac or onboard airliners and which are making a difference to fuel and emissions consumption.
- Three important keynotes
