Spring Airlines plans to establish an overseas operating base in Osaka and open five new routes to Japan at the end of March. The new routes include Shanghai-Hokkaido Asahikawa, Chengdu-Osaka, Zhengzhou-Osaka, Xi’an-Osaka and Jinjiang-Osaka. The Shanghai-based low-cost carrier (LCC) also plans to allocate more aircraft to Osaka and increase the number of destinations to more than 20 with 100 weekly departures.
