Emirates Airline said yesterday that Hong Kong will become its 11th A380 destination starting Oct. 1.
The carrier will operate a daily Dubai-Bangkok-HKG routing. EK has taken delivery of 12 A380s and still has 78 on order (ATW Daily News, June 9). It currently operates twice-daily passenger service between Dubai and Hong Kong as well as 18 weekly cargo flights on the route, which it first began serving in 1991. EK operates its A380s from Dubai daily to Paris CDG, Jeddah, Toronto, Seoul Incheon, Bangkok, Sydney, Auckland, Beijing and London Heathrow. It will start A380 service to Manchester Sept. 1.
