American Airlines has been granted authority by the US Department of Transportation (DOT) to launch Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW)-Beijing (PEK) Boeing 777-200ER flights. The daily service will start May 7 and be the only direct flight between DFW and PEK. American filed an application with DOT seeking permission for the route last September.
