United Airlines debuts Boeing 787 on Los Angeles-Tokyo route

United Airlines has debuted the Boeing 787 on its Los Angeles-Tokyo Narita route.

The 219-seat 787 will replace a three-class, 269-seat 777-200. The Chicago-based carrier took delivery of its first 787 in September and launched its first domestic 787 service in November between Houston and Chicago. It has ordered 50 Dreamliners.
