Romania’s Tarom (RO) is planning to open a base in Iasi (IAS) by mid-2013, CEO Sorin Georgescu told journalists. RO plans to launch up to four weekly flights from IAS to Rome Fiumicino from Dec. 1, followed by flights to Paris Charles de Gaulle and London Heathrow. RO is also considering service from IAS to Verona, Turin, Munich, Amsterdam and Frankfurt, as well new domestic services from IAS to Cluj, Timisoara and Constanta.
