Russian Federal Air Transport Agency Rosaviatsia has reinstated permission for VIM Avia (NN) to operate European flights after a ban late last year (ATW Daily News, Nov. 28, 2011). There were no official comments on Rosaviatsia’s decision to ban the carrier’s EU flights last year, but ATW understands authorities could forbid NN the flights because of unsatisfactory Safety Assessment of Foreign Aircraft results after inspection of one of its aircraft in Europe.
