Jetstar Airways announced that it has received permission from the Civil Aviation Safety Authority to operate long-haul services from Australia (ATWOnline, July 27). The carrier said the addendum to its AOC was the "final hurdle" it needed to negotiate before launching thrice-weekly Melbourne-Bangkok service on Thursday.
