Emirates Airline said yesterday that Hong Kong will become its 11th A380 destination starting Oct. 1. The carrier will operate a daily Dubai-Bangkok-HKG routing. EK has taken delivery of 12 A380s and still has 78 on order (ATW Daily News, June 9). It currently operates twice-daily passenger service between Dubai and Hong Kong as well as 18 weekly cargo flights on the route, which it first began serving in 1991.
