Munich Airport and Lufthansa this autumn will begin construction on a 123,000-sq.-m satellite to Terminal 2, with the start of operations slated for 2015. Total investment is €650 million ($909 million), with MUC shouldering 60% of the costs and LH 40%. The extension of T2, used by LH and its Star partners, will increase the facility's capacity to 35 million passengers annually from 24 million.
