American, JetBlue announce slot swap, interline agreement

American Airlines and JetBlue Airways yesterday announced a slot swap agreement at New York area and Washington National airports as well as a limited interlining deal at JFK and Boston Logan, which will bolster both carriers' competitive positions in the face of Delta Air Lines' growing strength in New York.

American Airlines and JetBlue Airways yesterday announced a slot swap agreement at New York area and Washington National airports as well as a limited interlining deal at JFK and Boston Logan, which will bolster both carriers' competitive positions in the face of Delta Air Lines' growing strength in New York. Under terms of the agreement, American will give JetBlue eight slot pairs at DCA and one slot pair at Westchester County (N.Y.) while JetBlue will provide AA with 12 slot pairs at JFK. ...
