Cathay Pacific has reached an agreement to buy DHL’s minority stake in cargo carrier Air Hong Kong, which would shift it from a joint venture to a full subsidiary of Cathay. Under an agreement, the buyout would take effect from Dec. 31, 2018, when the current joint venture is scheduled to expire. Air Hong Kong is currently 60% owned by Cathay; DHL holds a 40% stake.
