The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) has formally approved the launch of Guangzhou-based Guangdong Longhao Airlines. Guangdong Longhao Aviation Group wholly owns the new entity, which has a registered capital of CNY400 million ($61 million). Former China Eastern Airlines low-cost subsidiary China United Airlines GM Yao Weihui has been responsible for various preparation work for the new airline.
