Georgia-based Air Caucasus launched operations Aug. 18, operating a charter flight from the Georgian capital Tbilisi to Antalya, Turkey. According to the company’s website, further services from Tbilisi to St. Petersburg, Astana and Aktau (Kazakhstan), Istanbul Ataturk, Minsk (Belarus), Moscow, Tel Aviv, Kharkov and Donetsk in the Ukraine are planned. Air Caucasus operates a single leased Boeing MD-80, where co-founders of the company include Singapore-based A-Sonic Aerospace Ltd.
