Russia’s UTair Aviation has taken delivery of its first of 20 Airbus A321s ordered at the Farnborough Airshow in 2012. The deal, which is valued at $2.3 billion at list prices, is financed by VEB-Leasing. Deliveries are scheduled before the end of 2016. UTair plans to operate the 220-seat A321s, powered by CFM56 engines in a single-class layout, on high-demand domestic and international destinations.
