Ukraine International Airlines has added six leased aircraft to its fleet as part of a renewal and expansion program. The aircraft comprise four Boeing 737-500s, one 737-300 and one Embraer E-190, which has increased passenger capacity by nearly 700 seats.

The airline also operates 26 737 Classics/NGs and one E-190.

“Implementation of the business model of a network carrier, ensuring optimal two-way connections at Kiev Boryspil International Airport, sets new challenges for the carrier’s fleet renewal and expansion,” EVP-strategy and development Yervgeny Treskunov said in a statement.

This month, two additional 737-800s and one E-190 are scheduled to join the fleet.
