South African Airways Airbus A320
South African Airways (SAA) has taken delivery of its first two of 20 Airbus A320s, which were ordered in 2010. The aircraft will allow SAA to expand its Sub-Sahara regional route network and boost revenue in the rapidly growing market. The 138-seat A320s, powered by IAE V2500 engines, feature a two-class cabin configuration. The aircraft, which mark the latest phase of SAA’s fleet modernization plan, will replace its Boeing 737-800 fleet and boost its A319s.
