SAS Scandinavian Airlines has signed a letter of intent to wet lease four new ATR 72-600 aircraft for 36 months from Danish carrier Jet Time. The aircraft will be flown on Copenhagen-Stockholm for SAS’s winter timetable for 2013-14 and summer 2014.
SAS VP-operations Flemming Jensen said the agreement “will give us greater flexibility in our fleet, and ensure that we can achieve an even more optimal organization of our regional production.”
SAS will also continue its wet leases with Cimber and Braathens.
The airline is also planning to lease 12 Boeing 737-700s.
