Colorado-based Frontier Airlines has placed its first Airbus A321 order, inking a deal for nine of the type to join its all-Airbus fleet. The order takes Frontier to a backlog of 89 Airbus aircraft, including 80 A320neos. Airbus said the carrier has not yet announced its engine selection or seating configuration for the A321s.
