British Airways plans to speed up its move toward “densifying’ its fleet with changes to its Boeing 777-200s. The 25 777-200s based at London Gatwick will see an increase in capacity from 280 to 332 from early 2018. The main change is going from nine abreast to 10 abreast in economy, increasing seats at the back of the aircraft from 216 to 252.
