LAN and TAM received its first sharklet-equipped Airbus A320 in Chile and Brazil, respectively. Through 2017, LAN and TAM will incorporate more than 100 aircraft with this technology, which includes an investment of approximately $100 million.

Air Lease Corp. announced a long-term lease agreement with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines for a new Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, which is scheduled for delivery in March 2015. Additionally, ALC and KLM reached agreements on lease extensions for three 737-800s and one 777-200ER, currently operating in the KLM fleet.

FLY Leasing has acquired a 2013-manufactured Boeing 737-800 aircraft on a 12-year lease to a leading low-cost carrier in Asia. The acquisition was funded with a combination of FLY's unrestricted cash and the $250 million aircraft acquisition facility that was closed in November 2012.

KfW IPEX-Bank closed a financing deal secured by two Boeing 737-800s for Avolon Aerospace Leasing. The aircraft were delivered new to Jetairfly, a subsidiary of TUI Travel, this month.

Wizz Air Hungary has taken delivery of its first sharklet-equipped A320 aircraft, becoming one of the first Eastern European Airlines operate the type. Including this delivery, Wizz Air Hungary’s in-service fleet rises to 38 A320 family aircraft.
