Vueling has taken delivery of its first sharklet equipped Airbus A320. The Spanish low-cost carrier has 61 A320 family aircraft in its fleet.
US Export-Import Bank authorized over $190 million in financing for the export of Boeing 737-900ER aircraft to El Al Israel Airlines.
ST Aerospace announced that its wholly owned subsidiary ST Aerospace Engines (STA Engines), has injected its pro rata share of an additional $4.05 million into the capital of its 50%-owned associated company, Total Engines Asset Management (TEAM). With this new injection, it will bring STA Engines’ total share capital contribution in TEAM to $8.21 million. This additional funding will support the expansion of the engine leasing business.
AWAS Aviation Capital and KfW IPEX-Bank have signed a bilateral financing facility for up to eight Airbus A320-200 aircraft. The financing facility is ECA supported and fronted by the German ECA, Euler Hermes. The first aircraft was delivered new to Star Flyer Inc. and will be on a long-term operating lease to the carrier. The transaction closed on 20 March 2013. The remaining seven aircraft are scheduled for delivery throughout 2013.
SAS Scandinavian Airlines is replacing customer service offerings in Scandinavia and Europe with new SAS Go and SAS Plus. SAS Go includes a checked bag at no extra charge, coffee or tea onboard, including mobile check-in. SAS Plus includes two checked bags at no charge, SAS Fast Track, lounge access, meals and drinks onboard, plus mobile check-in.
