Air New Zealand plans to launch a nonstop flight from Auckland to Taipei, Taiwan, as the latest step in its strategy of growing its Pacific Rim destinations. The Taipei flights were announced at the same time as the carrier’s earnings for its fiscal half-year. The route is set to launch in November and will be flown 4-5 times a week using Boeing 787-9s.
