US Export-Import Bank and Turkish airline SunExpress reached a $220 million financing deal to support the carrier's purchase of "several" CFM56-powered 737-800s. It will be the airline's first collaboration with Ex-Im.
Separately, Copa Holdings said it has mandated Citibank to arrange Ex-Im guaranteed funding for five 737-800s. The facility totals $185 million and includes 12-year financing terms. Ex-Im has approved financing for two aircraft that will be delivered this month and has offered a preliminary commitment for the remaining three, which will be delivered later this year.
