Low-cost carrier (LCC) Norwegian Air Shuttle will acquire two Boeing 787-9s—its first of the type—and is seeking to further expand its fleet with the -9 version to bolster new long-haul operations. The new aircraft are being acquired from new York-based lessor MG Aviation and are due to enter service in the first quarter of 2016.
