GE’s H80 engine gains type approval in Russia and CIS

GE Aviation’s H80 engine has been given type approval by Russia’s Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC) to operate on aircraft in Russia and Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).

GE Aviation’s H80 engine has been given type approval by Russia’s Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC) to operate on aircraft in Russia and Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). The H80 will be installed on the modified version of the Let L-410 Turbolet aircraft, produced by Czech Aircraft Industries. The H80 will increase the cost of the aircraft 7%-10%.
