China's AVIC Commercial Aircraft Engine Co. and Germany's MTU Aero Engines signed a "key terms agreement" Thursday regarding the launch of a joint venture that would be primarily responsible for developing and producing a domestic powerplant for the COMAC C919, China's 150-seat aircraft.
