US and Europe to resume open skies talks
US Secretary of Transportation Norman Mineta and European Commission VP in charge of Transport Jacques Barrot agreed to resume negotiations starting Oct. 17 "with a view to reaching a comprehensive first step air services agreement between the US and EU," according to a brief statement from DOT.
