IATA announced Qantas Airways (QF) CEO and managing director Alan Joyce has succeeded KLM president and CEO Peter Hartman as chairman of the board of directors (ATW Daily News, June 8, 2011). The leadership change took place at the conclusion of IATA’s 68th Annual General Meeting (AGM) and World Air Transport Summit in Beijing.
